Two Spirits_CH1PG1

Sorry guys, this past weekend has been a bit of a "Lemony Snicket". In other words, it has been a series of unfortunate events resulting in the sever lateness of this page.
(I had fun at Jaycon though, so that was nice)

Anyway, here's the first page of Two Spirits. One of the reasons that this took a while to complete was because I got pretty complex with the backdrops(However, since I'm trying to make an effort to actually do them it's good for me).

Just so you all know, this story sorta starts off in medias res so don't worry if the first five pages or so confuse you a bit. It will all be explained in an spectacular flashback(Well, maybe not spectacular, but definitely informative).

**I have also made a revision to the update schedule. I guarantee that atleast one new page will be uploaded every OTHER Thursday. If I happen to have extra chunks of free time I will hopefully be able to finish more. Basically, I'm trying to be a bit more realistic with my time, since I can't be pulling all nighters every week to get pages done. As time passes and I get back into doing regular narrative work, I will change the update schedule back to a new page every week.

SUMMARY:
Among the Native people, a “Two Spirit” is a person whose physical body is the shared vessel of two contrasting spirits. This dual presence of beings in one body is feared by some tribes and almost revered by others.

Leyati is a talented healer among his people, yet his male body is thought to house a male spirit as well as a female one. Protected his entire life in his isolated, coastal village, he longs for the thrill of adventure. So when he meets Kwahu, a seasoned traveler, the two form a friendship during his stay among Leyati’s tribe. However, when the time comes for Kwahu to continue on his journey, they are both unwilling to part from each other.

So, the two make a decision that will change their lives, they become husband and wife.

As Kwahu’s “wife”, free to join him in his travels, Leyati hopes to explore the world outside his village. All the while, discovering more about the man that is now his husband.
